There are many options for sending files through the internet. Browser-based solutions, applications,
FTP servers and more. But until now, there hasn't been a bespoke solution for the broadcast industry
to send it's files and content around the world, through the internet. That was the reason behind
NuviewUp. The entire program has been built to get your content sent through the web, as fast
and securely as possible. Here are some of the benefits.
Enhanced Bandwidth.
Sending files through web browsers is restricted by industry enforced badwidth limitations. Meaning if you upload files through a browser, regardless of your internet connection, you will only ever acheive around 40% of your potential speed. Applications
are not subject to the same limitations, so the upload speeds possible through NuviewUp are between 5-20x faster than
uploading through a browser. If you're uploading your latest holiday video for your friends to view, this might not be a problem,
but if you have a 52 minute HD documentary that needs to get to a broadcaster on another continent, this can mean the
difference between your programme getting on air, or not.
Serious security, as standard.
When you login to NuviewUp, without knowing it, you are submerged in 64 bit encryption. So what you're sending to us is as secure as the credit card details held by your bank. So your delivery is completely safe, it's uploading to our server and nowhere else. When you are uploading, you have the opportunity to password protect your content to be viewed or downloaded.
Continuous upload.
The biggest drawback with FTP and browser-based delivery, is the fact that if your internet connection disappears,so does your upload. And you have to start from scratch. Any editor that has tried to deliver from a hotel room, or a mobile broad-band connection, will tell you the frustration in getting 90% the way through a delivery, only for the connection to disappear, and you have to start your upload all over again. With NuviewUp, you can start your upload on loaction, get back to the hotel, upload some more, and head back to the suite to finish off. No downtime, no reconnections, never waste a minute uploading again.
Simple distribution.
Make sure everyone that needs your content gets the message. Within NuviewUp there is an entry field that allows you to list the email addresses of the people that need to see your files. So whilst you're sending your files, you pop in the emails of all the recipiants, and as soon as it's online, they get notification.
Multiple formats.
Within NuviewUp, there are options for multiple uploads. So you can prepare the different formats you need for delivery, select the relevant files within the software, and sit back and relax as Nuview gets them and online directly to your clients. If the US needs a 720p at 29FPS, the UK needs 1080p at 25FPS, France needs a Secam version, your company needs a 480p for YouTube, it can all be done in the same place at the same time.
Manage your content as it suits you.
NuviewUp doesn't just allow you to upload files, it acts as a full content management system for your content. So
you are able to manage your content as you need to. Turn videos on and off with a simple click, update videos just
as easily as you uploaded them in the first place. Add a Passcode to existing content, remove a Passcode from a
file that is now for public access. Adjust every element of every video, as and when you need to. And because it's
done through an Application and not through a browser, it all happens immediately. No waiting, no delay, just your
